With his straightforwardness based on appreciation and coupled with humor, Michael embodies the consulting philosophy of Timmermann.

As a born entrepreneur, he founded his first company, raba.tt GmbH, in the marketing industry during high school. With this venture, he introduced the marketing tool "Coupons" to the German-speaking region. After selling the company, he studied psychology and then learned the tools of a traditional management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Following his role as a Partner for Change Management at a mid-sized management consulting firm, he founded Timmermann Partners. He also acquired the Ellernhof, a seminar and conference center in northern Germany near Hamburg, improved it, and sold it after three years. 

Having spent a total of two years in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, he still loves to travel today – preferably to places he can explore through climbing or diving. 

Since September 2015, Michael has been enjoying fatherhood with his son Merlin.

Bernd Witzany

Chief Operating Officer

The theme of change has accompanied Bernd throughout his entire professional career. Whether as a student, employee, consultant, managing director, or as an independent entrepreneur, he has engaged with change as a constant on at least three continents. 

After studying economics, he led the SAP/R3 department as a division head in a state-owned enterprise, overseeing the organizational change process. Following a role as a Senior Consultant in SAP/R3, he became the Chief Operating Officer and Director of R&D for a globally operating company with locations in Monaco, Austria, and the USA. 

Several company acquisitions and mergers with businesses from Germany, Italy, Canada, and the USA further heightened his interest in and competence for managing change processes. With his own company, he served as managing partner, guiding clients through change processes, and working as CFO in long-term mandates. This period also involved the founding, establishment, and management of a company in the USA, where he holds a stake and serves on the supervisory board. 

Bernd brings extensive international experience to the Timmermann Group, combining it with a constant pursuit of social, methodological, and professional development. The Timmermann Group provides the ideal human and professional framework for this. 

With the same dedication and curiosity, he has always pursued his hobbies, including 15 years of American football and currently practicing Ju-Jitsu. He enjoys various forms of outdoor activities, embracing almost every sporting challenge. However, his most significant free time commitment now revolves his young son and an adopted canine companion at home.

As a political scientist, Lukas combines the "hard" expertise of an economist and jurist with the "soft" insights of a sociologist and political scientist. For Lukas, this involves not only contemplating theoretical approaches but also taking concrete action and assuming responsibility: for several years, he has been actively involved in supporting families with a migration background.

The question of what it takes to translate desired norms and values into concrete actions accompanied me during my studies in social anthropology, where I conducted research in NGOs and businesses. In my professional life, over the course of 15 years spanning 3 continents and 4 languages, I have supported organizations in change processes and IT implementations, learning the art of facilitating change. My strengths lie in methodical precision, technical expertise, and personal curiosity. I prefer working collaboratively, and I am most content when employees and leaders seamlessly operate in their effectiveness, unleashing their full potential.

Stefan Kießling

A personality test once described Stefan as a "realistic dreamer," a characterization that suits him very well. For him, the status quo is something that should never be accepted without reflection. Successful change, in his view, means achieving a balance between ambition and pragmatism, between realism and dreams. 

To explore and understand his own values, Stefan began his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Bielefeld. There, he was honored with the Deutschlandstipendium for gifted and engaged students. However, his specific interest in change processes and their diverse possibilities and pitfalls was sparked during his Master's studies in Philosophy and Business Administration in Copenhagen. There, he could academically examine the topic from various angles. 

Stefan found his time in the international student organization AIESEC particularly enriching, where he led the Bielefeld Local Committee and conducted various workshops and training sessions over the years. Additionally, he supported the marketing activities of the Fundación Ecosueños in Bogotá, Colombia, during a social internship, and gained practical experience in HR through an internship at the dalli group in Timişoara, Romania. Most recently, he collaborated with the non-governmental organization Oxfam IBIS in Copenhagen as an Innovation Consultant for his master's thesis. As part of field research, this even led him to Sierra Leone.

Even as a child, Anja knew that things only bring joy when experienced together. Teamwork and a sense of community, combined with empathy and helpfulness, have been Anja's most distinctive core qualities since childhood. 

After studying English and French literature, media, and culture, Anja's fascination with the written word initially led her to the world of publishing. There, she observed the creation of titles from concept to bestseller and supported and promoted them in the press department. After almost 10 years, however, the desire for something new struck her again, and since standstill is regression in Anja's eyes, it drove her to new horizons. Now, she supports the Timmermann Consulting Team as a team assistant. Here, she not only enjoys the joy of progress and change among the Timmermann people but also appreciates the genuine warmth in the team's interactions. 

Even in her free time, Anja prefers to be among people unless a new novel has her in its grip because Anja has certainly not given up on the world of books. However, if she is not currently tracing the footsteps of the great literary classics, you can find her either kickboxing, enjoying a beer garden with friends, or occasionally sprinting through Munich on her racing bike.

As a single father of a son, I quickly learned that it's often the little things that keep things running smoothly. Even as a child, I tried to understand how things work and how to do them myself. I also enjoyed delving into complex topics – I soldered my first memory expansion at the age of 12, started my apprenticeship as an energy systems electronics technician at Deutsche Bahn at the age of 15, and satisfied my curiosity with layouts for circuit boards, switchgear, control technology, measurement technology, and much more.
