The idea
When Michael Timmermann worked as a management consultant at a leading strategy consultancy, the strategic consulting craft was applied down to the finest detail. However, he felt that something crucial was missing: the focus on interpersonal work, which has a significant impact on metrics and the success of transformations. Theoretically, everyone agreed, but in practice, there was much resistance. Comments like "The clients won't go for it," "We don't have time for that," "Yes, but not like that," and "Okay, but if someone doesn't like it, you're responsible" were common. On the other hand, there were trainers and coaches in the industry who lacked the analytical and economic skills necessary for successful change. Michael's reaction: "If I can't find the company I want to work for, I'll just start it myself." This led to the creation of Timmermann Partners, now one of the six service lines of the Timmermann Group. With the mission: "We shape transformations with clients who really mean it."
